Gold or gold-plated?
Gold, silver and platinum aren’t magnetic. Many gold-plated pieces have a nickel or iron core, which is magnetic, so a magnet can help you spot them.
Some gold-plated pieces have a brass core, which isn’t magnetic, so a magnet won’t catch everything. We test every piece at the counter for free.

What happens to my gemstones?
MINTY buys the gold and silver value only. We return gemstones to you if you’d like to keep them, or we can talk through a few other options that suit you best.
How do I get paid?
If you choose to sell, you’re paid on the spot by cheque or e-transfer. The choice is always yours.
Do I need ID?
Yes. By law, you must be at least 18 years old and show a valid form of identification to sell.
I’m not in Burlington. Can I still sell?
Yes. Find a pop-up near you in Ontario, or book a free pick-up anywhere in Canada.
